The Florida State Seminoles will get $4.5 million to refurbish and restore a former football stadium at the university.
The renovations are expected to be completed by late 2018, and the $2 million donation will go to the Florida State College of Liberal Arts, according to the university’s press release.
The money is part of a $40 million fund to renovate and restore the stadium.
FSU officials say the renovations will make the stadium more accessible and accessible for students, faculty and staff.
The university will also pay $5 million for the use of the university-owned property.
The university said it will contribute $10 million toward the cost of the renovations.
The Seminoles have a new $2 billion stadium that will be built in time for the 2017 football season.
The team is currently scheduled to open its new home in the 2018 season.
